As best I can tell from the various newsgroups and forums I monitor it is not all VISTA 64 bit,4GB systems with Hauppauge NTSC tuners that have the problem. However, trying to determine which unique item in the configuration causes the problem is certainly difficult. There are 2 things you might try. 1.

Apps like Media Center and full support for SPDIF digital sound output, or the capability to add more than 3GB of ram for Vista x64 ( although that's also there for Win XP x64, it can't be considered a good OS to base a home theater entertainment system on ). I assume that the S-Video input follows this same path. It is this memory that apparently is getting corrupted by some other program or service on the 4GB system. I suggest that you boot up in Safe Mode and try running the WinTV2K application to see if a non essential service is causing the corruption.
